What’s Happenin’ Update 8.2020 (nothing really)

I’ve messed up on the last two projects I’ve been working on and I have an old project video I’ve also been working on but I don’t have it done yet so I thought I would just have a talk about stuff video. 

I asked if people had any questions about my mom’s roll top desk build and I got two questions. So I answer those in this video. I also chat about the week we had with Nadine and Noah earlier in August and show some pictures of our adventures. 

I talk about my shirt that people commented about and how I have them up for sale on my website. 

I also show some pictures of Wally and Gibbs because I was asked to make a video about them a long time ago and have never finished that one either, so I figured I could do some of that in this video. 

I chat a bit about pre-2020 life and wonder if we will ever see it again. And about how Jesus told us to love God and love people which would solve all the problems, but it is hard for us to do. 

Thanks for hanging out with me while I chat up a storm. I hope to see you soon with something I’ve successfully made in the shop. 🙂

Tumbled Upon Faceting Routered Display Sign

My granddaughter, Nadine, is a gem faceter and her birthday is today, she is turning 14. I made a display sign for her with her business name on it, Tumbled Upon Faceting, and in this video I show how I went about making the sign. I also explain how Nadine got into faceting and show what it is that she does.

Ruler for Nev, to watch her grow.

The newest grandchild is now standing, so that means it is time to start measuring!

I decided to try routering (instead of wood burning) her height ruler and I liked doing that very much! I put a bunch of characters on her ruler including, Winnie the Pooh and his friends, Bugs Bunny and his friends, and a few buffalos and penguins.

I also added Psalm 139:16 to the back. It says, “All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old.” That is a pretty cool thought as you’re growing up and living life!

It was fun to measure her, she is about 2 feet 6 inches at 10 months old!!!

Making Wind Chimes with Nadine and Noah

While Nadine and Noah were here we all made wind chimes! Nadine’s theme was gems and Noah’s theme went from arrows to Spiderman with a gun. Husband’s theme was a bumble bee and my theme was trees. We all picked out our wood, decorated them with some beads, strung some string, and put them all together. We had a good time and they sound really cool!
